Here's a little image I did for the guys at the 2000ad boards.

I've been hard at work finishing these two projects. Also Ive been making time to study comic related material for a couple of hours every day (the five C's, Bridgman's anatomy). It's really changed how I think about what I'm drawing. Also I'm starting to get use to using a crow quill. Here's an example, same panel but this time I was thinking more about the volume of the character where the light source was coming from etc... I need to make it a point to keep gaining knowledge and improving.

Inked all day today I'm pooped. I can't show what I inked but here's some drawing practice from today. the top three figures are copied from the Savage Sword of Conan John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala. I really like how they render stuff. The first face I kind of modernised. The other face was just freehand tonight half asleep proportions are all wrong. oh well it was fun.

Awesome! Inking is coming together on one of my projects. I got to apply some of the feathering techniques I've been learning.

Inking Today. I had been digitally inking. It looks slick and easy to get rid of mistakes but there's something charming about doing it with crow quill and brush. So that's the approach I'm taking with the two comics I have on the board now. I'll leave the digital stuff for correcting mistakes.

Nine hours on this piece using a lot of new skills I've acquired over the last month. Now I've started to ink ooooh one false move and blammo...

Just finished The Book Of A Hundred Hands. That was a book every few pages I was like "Wow I never knew!" Now I can draw a hand without looking at my own hand. sweet! Next on my list Constructive Anatomy.

Been a while since I updated this. I've been so busy with art. I finished the two stories I was working on last month. Now I'm working on two more. here's a couple panels from one of my current stories.

Just for fun I added some color.

Today I drew Captain America for my portfolio. I think my daily anatomy study is beginning to pay off.

I have a new project Skipper Martin has honored me with. Thanks skip! I've finished character designs and initial page layouts. Also a cover and a five page sci-fi short down the road.

I've finished Bizarre New World "Down To Earth" and learned many new things along the way. Now to my next task putting together a 2000 AD submission.

Page 13 done. here's page one in color. Illust studio is in Japanese but I think I'm getting a handle on the basics of it. What a powerful tool!

Page 12 penciled and inked I think I need to put more effort into the characters body language panel 5 is pretty stiff. off to 13.

Today I edited the rest of issue one. roughed out page 12. tomorrow I can pencil and ink it.

The logo for my indie comic co. Iridium is one of the strongest metals known to man. It's used in the space industry as well as to make fountain pen nibs. I think it sounds awsome.

Page 11 finished. Downloaded longbox digital. hmmmm...

Today I layed out page 11 and started penciling it. Mostly I played with my new program Illust Studio. It took a while to get the hang of being that its in Japanese. It has many features are allot like Photoshop so it was kind of familiar and it has many more features geared toward the comic book artist. yes now I have something to color with!

page 10. I have more bricks to draw but there's my progress. off to page 11 Johnny takes brook to the hospital. I learned a few perspective tricks from AKIRA that I'm going to use on the next page. well back to work.

Oh no I ran out of time today! I wanted to finish page 10 but have like an hour and a half of bricks to draw. Oh well I'll pick it up in the morning. Gosh today was hot at least its going to rain tonight.

Implant #1

Issue #1 of Implant is coming along nicely. It will be 5 issues of science fiction madness. The last two months were spent on story development now I'm getting into the gritty titty of illustrating it.
